The material is very soft and airy. These shorts are perfect for hot summer weather. However, the waist is quite loose. I'm a 28in waist and have to cinch the ties quite tightly. Also if you put a phone or anything with weight in the pocket, thwy will pull the shorts down. I guess I could have sized down to an XS but that might be tight on the crotch. weird sizing.
