Elation continues to be the best, most comfortable line for me. Describing it as buttery soft is 100% accurate and the fit is always great. These leggings hug your legs to just below 2/3 of your shins before flaring out, making them suitable for workouts and for outside the gym. That low bellbot...tom cut with the side slit allows for a nice drape over your sneakers/shoes. High waist stays put and does feel like that gentle hug description. Only disappointment is that there are no stash pockets in this style. There is the small pocket located in the small of your back, but not really sized for holding most phones securely.
I love this style in the regular length non-split Elation pant fit. I have several pairs in the non-split version. I am 5' 8" XXS in the regular length- but those are about 2 inches too short. I wear them anyway. I ordered TALL this time, in the split version XS (don't come in XXS). They are an odd... fit. 5 inches too long- dragging the floor with 4-5 inches of extra material. The split flare at the very bottom is strange. They are extremely tight at the ankle then slightly flare in the 4 - 5 inches of extra overhanging material dragging the floor. This must be an error or misfit in the production process. Not wearable. I gave them to a taller friend who is 5' 10". She had the same issue, assuming the pants were mis-made, so discarded them. I love the brand- and the regular fit Elation flares, but those are slightly short and the tall size I received in the split style was unusually long by way too many inches. So odd they weren't worth altering. I am a big Athleta fan and a regular customer. This experience was unusually disappointing.

I love these pants! I have long legs and find these so flattering. I also find they run a bit more compressive than some of my leggings which I like! If you do not like them being tight maybe size up? I get a medium in almost all things athleta, but these are a smaller medium IMO

Wow Athleta did their big one with these. They are thick and so cute. Amazing quality, they don't roll or fall down. The slim fit really stands out, on a curvy figure! I wish they had unlimited colours in these pants lol

I'm 5'9" and normally wear Medium Tall in Athleta yoga pants. The Tall was too long on me (sweeping the floor) and I returned it for the regular length Medium, which worked great, and wow, I love them! Comfortable, buttery soft, and super slimming. I bought different colors but my fave is the black with the racy white stripe. Please restock my size; will buy more if available.
