So they have changed the surge swim short over the years! Still my go to even now, but my favs are the red pink patterned ones from about 6-7 years ago. They fit more snug and hugged the bottom, these have a little more fabric in the outter short portion (I guess if you have a fuller bottom they're more suited for you) I don't have much bottom lol. I'm Tall and thin. 6'1. 147lbs. The surge in general have always fit bigger, for sizing. I am an XS in these then and now. The fit, even today can't be matched by any other swim shorts. I don't have a tiny waist or hips. I'm 47 and not comfortable wearing all the skimpy bum showing bottoms out there. Any labelled "full bottom" just aren't IMO. Although the change in manufacturing, I still give these 5 stars!

Cute and comfortable. I usually wear a medium but after reading other reviews, sized down to a small and am glad I did. They're still a bit loose in the waist but drawstrings help.

I wore an S in the hipster bikini but needed an XS in the swim short. I have a size S swim short from a few years ago, and they are now too big. So I'd say these have not changed in sizing. I just lost weight.

These swim bottoms fit well and are comfortable. I purchased XS. I'm 5'5" and weigh 118 lbs.

Great swim short once you figure out your size. They do run very big so I had to exchange my initial M for a S. Also be sure to wash them first because the color ran significantly. Otherwise a great length, I like the drawstring, and pocket. For reference, I am 5'7 and 148# with a long torso.

Nice fit! Great for pool, boat or playing in the yard. I'm older and feel comfortable wearing these around. I have in multiple colors and try to get a couple new pairs each year.
