Great short for lounge or errands. They have a looser fit and definitely match the description of being heavyweight. They are thick and heavy, but feel like a great quality short. I would say these shorts run slightly big.

I actually purchased the white in xxs and the grey in xs. I like both fits. I'm normally an xs in Athleta. The xs white fit perfect and the xs is very similar just a smidge looser for a more relaxed look. I'm not tall so the length is great on me.

Expected to be like last year's Retroterry fabric, but it was a bit thicker and "rougher." They felt a bit too short. A miss for me. White was not see through. I ordered 2 sizes since everything seems to run big, but these were true to size. I did not need to size down.
