I tried these shorts on in the store and they are very pretty in person. They have a slight shine to them so they will dress up your outfit. I will say they run big. I normally wear a XS in the Athleta shorts, but with these I had to go with the XXS. For reference I am 5'3 and 112 pounds. If yo...u are buying online you might want to go one size down from your normal size.
The fabric is cool in the heat but has absolutely no give, so unless you over-size, they are tight when sitting. Also, it fit me below the waist, so they are not a high rise as I had hoped.

I'm short and curvy with muscular thighs so shorts can be a bear. These have an elastic waist which fits perfectly and a wide leg opening without looking weird. Super lightweight and grey is a perfect neutral color.
