Best. shorts I bought in 20 years. I hate my thighs. I can't stand high rise shorts. I avoid side pockets because they add visual heft. I don't buy shorts because they always leave me feeling self conscious and uncomfortable. But these shorts are perfect everywhere, top to bottom. Incredible fit, fe...el, style. Flattering and great for errands, hiking, lunch, day or night with heels or flats or flip flops or sneakers. Spectacular all around, just wish they had some more color options in warm taupe, linen, chocolate, raisin or dark blue or teal. I sized up and it covers well and is both modest and flattering. Buy them all.

Ok, so everything I buy at Athleta is a size 12. Everything always fits to a tee. Imagine my horror when I pulled these out of their package, and COULD NOT EVEN GET THEM ZIPPED UP. I was horrified. Double checked the size to make sure they were a size 12. They were. Got so freaked out that I pulled ...out last year's Brooklyn shorts to make sure I didn't unknowingly gain 10 lbs. They still fit perfectly. So thank God for that. But here's the thing…Athleta, why would you even make a pair of shorts so "off" in the sizing when you really seemed to have the whole thing down to a science? Trying to keep us on our toes? No thanks. These were promptly returned. Interesting factoid, the woman who did my return in store totally validated my experience. She had to go up 2 sizes to get a proper fit. I know people say that the size doesn't matter, it's all about the fit … but show me a woman who is willing to size up that much. The mental head game just isn't worth it.

I absolutely loved these shorts. Wore them on a trip to Mexico then brought them to a summer trip in Europe. Wore them about 10x and the zipper broke. Kinda heart broken because I thought I finally found the perfect shorts. I'm tempted to buy them again but won't.

I have these pants in 2 colors and love them. When I saw the shorts for the summer, I ordered the same size (10) and they fit perfectly. They are a great length as well. Not too long and not too short. They also hold their shape very well while you're wearing them.

Great for looking put together on a casual day. Comfortable fabric that breathes and a wider fit on the legs keeps everything cool and breezy. Great length, and the high rise waist adds to a more elevated casual look. Although my waist measurement aligns with a 6 on the sizing chart, I sized up to an 8 and it fit perfect. Loved them so much that I bought 3 pairs total.

Love the color (pink) and the fit of these. I thought I ordered a zero but accidentally ordered size 2. They are a relaxed fit. The zero would have been a better fit for my body type but the 2 still works. I am 5'3" 110 lbs. 25 inch waist and 35/36 inch hips, good purchase. I'm happy I bought.
