Best. shorts I bought in 20 years. I hate my thighs. I can't stand high rise shorts. I avoid side pockets because they add visual heft. I don't buy shorts because they always leave me feeling self conscious and uncomfortable. But these shorts are perfect everywhere, top to bottom. Incredible fit, fe...el, style. Flattering and great for errands, hiking, lunch, day or night with heels or flats or flip flops or sneakers. Spectacular all around, just wish they had some more color options in warm taupe, linen, chocolate, raisin or dark blue or teal. I sized up and it covers well and is both modest and flattering. Buy them all.

Ok, so everything I buy at Athleta is a size 12. Everything always fits to a tee. Imagine my horror when I pulled these out of their package, and COULD NOT EVEN GET THEM ZIPPED UP. I was horrified. Double checked the size to make sure they were a size 12. They were. Got so freaked out that I pulled ...out last year's Brooklyn shorts to make sure I didn't unknowingly gain 10 lbs. They still fit perfectly. So thank God for that. But here's the thing…Athleta, why would you even make a pair of shorts so "off" in the sizing when you really seemed to have the whole thing down to a science? Trying to keep us on our toes? No thanks. These were promptly returned. Interesting factoid, the woman who did my return in store totally validated my experience. She had to go up 2 sizes to get a proper fit. I know people say that the size doesn't matter, it's all about the fit … but show me a woman who is willing to size up that much. The mental head game just isn't worth it.

I bought these in 2 colors when they first came out, but had to exchange for 1 size up. Great cut and very comfy fabric! I will say I have lost 15 pounds and have dropped a size and somehow they still fit. They definitely run a tad small, but they are quite stretchy. So you might be able to get away with your normal size if you don't mind the squeezy feeling.

I bought the skyline pants and absolutely loved them, so I thought these would be a slam dunk. They are just sooo short that you could see my underwear if I bent even slightly. They were also way tighter than my pants that were the same size. Sad because they are super attractive otherwise! I think they need to be in a 7" inseam and that would be perfect!

These are so cute and comfy but they are not a 4 inch inseam they are 3 inches and I feel like my booty is hanging out in these and when I sit down they feel like I have my underwear on. If these were a 5 inch inseam they would be perfect. I feel like the fit was tts.

The Skyline High Rise Tailored Short is very comfortable. The material has a nice stretch to it. The construction is great. The pockets are functional and the high waist fits snugly without being too tight. I also like that the shorts have belt loops and look great with a shirt tucked in or out. I ordered in Black and also in White. As far as sizing goes, I would say it is standard Athleta sizing, which runs a bit generous compared to other brands I typically wear.

Nice shorts. You can dress them up or down. I've worn them on very hot, humid days and they keep me cool and don't wrinkle when I move. They don't ride up either. I have them in black and green. I'm 5'3 and 128 lbs. and I wear a size 6 (which is my standard size). These will be a summer staple for me.
