Wrong direction for ball pocket

No one puts a tennis ball down into a pocket. The ball gets tucked up into a pocket or under the edge of the shorts under the skirt. This might work as a phone pocket depending on the size.

This skort is the perfect length for my 5'4" frame...hits me mid-thigh. The front slit is a nice touch to access the pocket easily and the shorts underneath don't ride up. I usually run between sizes XS and S at Athleta, depending on the fit, so the S was just a tad loose across my mid-section. But fit nice either way - will get a lot of use! For reference, I'm 5'4", 125 lbs, 34DD, athletic build.

The style of this skirt, navy, with the white tipping, caught my eye every time I saw it. The design is super cute and flattering, and with the shorts with large ball pockets underneath, the skirt is practical too. I found this runs a little small. I tend to take Athleta leggings in M and sometimes S. The M was a little too tight across my albeit perimenopausal belly, pulling a little in the back. The L was very comfortable and not too baggy. If they had made this in Tall, I probably would have purchased that size, but the Regular is not too short - and I'm all leg @ 5'10". Looking forward to wearing this for court sports and other athletic endeavors.
