I've been an Athleta customer for over a decade and I've never been as disappointed with their products as I've been this year. Not only have plus size options dropped vertiginously down to just a few pieces, but also the regular sizing is shrinking. I have several Athleta skorts - all of them are XL. The vast majority of them are Ace because I fell in love with the style and have collected several colors over the years. This year, I didn't see anything particularly cute in skorts until this Varsity color came out. It arrived yesterday and I immediately could tell that it was considerably smaller than the others. I took a picture of the skort on top of the last one I purchased last year - and this year's XL is at least 1in narrower than all of the other XL Ace skorts I own. I will be returning this skort. And I will also rethink Athleta as my workout brand. People of all sizes should exercise, and feeling cute on the way to exercising makes me want to exercise more. "The Power of She" should apply to all sizes, not just the smaller ones. We all should exercise more and be healthier. If Athleta no longer wants to cater to plus size customers, we'll take our business elsewhere.
