This dress did not disappoint! The fabric is thick yet 'slinky' and doesn't hold tight. I wore it for the first time with a fitted long sleeved t-shirt underneath but could easily have worn a jacket. I appreciate a dress I can wear year round, which in Texas I will be able to do with this dress. The... black is more of a 'washed out black' as others have mentioned. I received many compliments while wearing it and was SUPER comfortable all day. Wore it with Cole Haan sneakers for a fun accessory. Thinking of ordering in other colors now as well. I wear a 4 tall in most Athleta items and ordered a Medium Tall. I could have probably ordered a Small Tall, but appreciate the extra room.
I ordered the light brown color in my normal size xxs (5'3 108lb) and it fits perfect! Except, even though it is a tad loose it still highlights every bulge in my tummy (over 50). Not sure if this is just a lighter color thing. I will have to wear it w something tied around my waist like in the phot...o or w the midday cropped shirt over it. It would be perfect if it didn't hug the tummy so much. :(

Nice weight. Not clingy . I tend to buy xl in Athleta dresses so they aren't as form fitting to wear to work. Bought a large based on reviews and it fit well.

Roomy and not form fitting like other knit dresses. Thicker durable fabric. Lined well. I could wear it to work, lounge around the house, or do anything else. Can be dressed up or down. Super comfy, but cute. While it's more roomy, it still has some shape to it. In general, it runs big, but I feel like it's meant to be like this; so I'll say it's true to size—generally speaking, it would be in between true to size and big but leaning toward big

I've tried so many dresses similar to this style that is fitting but not super body con and I've had to return because my tummy area would show too much. But this dress, just wow. It was super flattering in my mid section that looks like I have rock solid abs. Love love love. And couldn't beat that I got it on sale. It's not the dress has compression, I think it's the material. Not even SPANX dresses look this great. I wish they had more colors I would buy it in every color. Oh the material is very soft too.

I really liked this dress and wore it the day I got it - I liked the fit and versatility to either dress up or down. Unfortunately it snagged the first day !! Granted it was on a neighbors old dining room table when I sat down (it had a rough under edge which my thigh hit and snagged the fabric) So disappointing especially on the very first time wearing !! I'm afraid to cut off the snag as it might create a hole. Got it on sale and needed for upcoming Europe trip so no time to return . I might order another just to have a "good" one will wait to see how the fabric dos on my trip first
