I really like these pants. I'm 5'9 with a 33 inseam and the regular was a good crop fit(which I love) for me. The pants are flattering, and I am comfortable wearing them in the heat. Where I live is considered tropical/subtropical. I only have two cons, but they have kept me from buying another pair and why I am giving them four stars: 1) The waist is tighter than other trousers I've ordered from Athleta(I still can tuck in shirts, but on days I feel bloated these are a no 2) I ordered the black pair, and the material is hard to spot clean if something happens to get on them while wearing which has been inconvenient when it happened at work, or going out.

Love these pants. They're stylish and fit my figure well. Love that they're high waisted and slimming. Had a pair in black and white and was so panicked they weren't going to make them any more that I ordered two more pairs.
The pants are slimming at the waist and comfy but not overly "barrel-y". The fabric is a good weight so it doesn't cling but it's light and breathable, too. A+!

I'm not someone who usually jumps on trends - so I have avoided the barrel pants - but I was in the store and touched the fabric and was so incredibly impressed that I had to try them on. These pants might be the comfiest pair of "real pants" (not leggings) that I have ever worn so I had to buy two pairs... full price (which I rarely do)! They make an outfit look put-together, but still casual (like nicer jeans) but comfier than any pair of jeans or other pants I have ever worn. And most importantly, the barrel is not too barrel-y, so they almost look more like wide-leg pants, unless you stand a very specific way, meaning they won't go out of style too quickly IMO. Note they were true to the size that I typically wear as well (I love that I can rely on Athleta clothing to be consistently sized). #sweepstakes
