I purchased both these and the MVP pant because I wasn't sure which pair I wanted. These are much more casual and better quality in my opinion. They remind me of the original adidas tear away pants I had in h.s. Similar weighty material and sporty feel. I like that they're high waisted and the petit...e is a good length for me (5'3). The side pockets have zippers. These are comfy and run generous in size as most Athleta items do. I usually wear a 0 in Athleta pants/skirts and the xs fits fine. Waist is slightly loose and overall looser fit which makes them comfy. These are definitely casual or gym wear and I wouldn't be able to wear them to work. In comparison MVP pants can be dressed up but are lower quality.

I am normally a small in Athleta and other brands. I ordered small first and was swimming in them. After multiple orders, I figured out that I needed an XS Petite. If you normally wear XS petite, these pants probably won't work for you. For reference I am 5'4, 130lbs. The petite is still to the flo...or, but does not drag when I wear running shoes. I love the green color, and the weight of the fabric. Just hard to sort out the sizing.

These run big so definitely size down. The petite are still longer then need be. I am 5'3" and still need to get the petite hemmed. They are not midrise. They are high rise. I really wish Athleta would get away from the the high rise pants and do a true midrise pants (nothing above 10" rise, these are 14.5" rise front and back). I like the zipper pockets and the style of these otherwise.

purchased the truffle, thanks to previous reviews I sized down and also purchased a Petit length. Perfect. I am 5'4" and have found when purchasing Athleta wide leg pants Petit seems to work for length and has not affected the rise for me. I like the pin stripping detail and the fabric is heavier so will work in cooler weather in CA. will be buying again

I have these pants in black, the midnight Heather color, and now on truffle! I LOVE them! Run slightly big all over, and the talls are quite long, but one quick roll of the waistband helps with that a lot.
