Your mileage may vary, but as a short-torsoed person who always seeks out mid-rise options, I was disappointed in the fit. I found these actually had a higher rise and more fabric in the crotch area than some Athleta pants that are labeled 'high-rise'. I'm not automatically opposed to dropped-crotch...

Definitely size down. I'm typically a small in Athleta bottoms but I nervously bought an XS because of the reviews and I'm so glad I did. These are great quality and thicker than normal track pants so they're great for Spring and Fall weather. I have 2 pairs and they're fantastic! #sweepstakes

The pants are light and the Ecru color is a nice deviation from my usual black. They do run big and I found them to be very long. I am 5'5" and even with the waistband rolled down, they pool on the ground. Otherwise, I like that these are lighter and would work for a spring/summer gym pant, when I don't want to wear leggings.

I bought these pants with the Brooklyn pants and these too (!) are too long. I have never had to order a petite before but will maybe consider for the future? I am 5/5, and these need to be hemmed like 3-4 inches!
