I purchased this for my 11 year old daughter. I purchased the Lrg and it fits with room to grow next year. Most of the Athleta clothing I purchased for her this Christmas is an XL. She is quite tall (5'1") and lean. The coat is oversized, I am glad I listened to the reviews. I would say it's going to be great for running errands and milder days. I would not send her out to play in the snow in this. Overall, I think it's a win. She loves it and for the sale price it's a no brainer.

Jacket is a warm, packable puffer. I like the higher zipper, so that there is some lower face coverage when all the way up. Only thing off is the sizing!! I am an adult female, 5'10", 140lbs and the size 16 swallowed me!! I initially wanted to get this for my 7 yr old daughter, but the XS was ridiculously oversized. #sweepstakes

This jacket is a staple. Everyone needs a long black parka in their closet. I live in the brutal Northeast winters and was surprised how warm this jacket is considering the down material is thin and not bulky. I wear size XXS in women's clothes and the girls XXL was way too big. The size L and XL fits even with a baggy sweatshirt underneath.

it is a cute coat but not very warm at all. I would say it's good to -10 degree or so of if you're hopping in and out of cars or buildings.

I am only 5' , petite and this parka fits perfectly. Bought a girl's size 12 and still room for a heavier sweater.

I'm an adult 5'1 size small adult women, but purchased a size large child. This coat is great I have walked around Germany in it. It has been warm with a layer underneath in 30-40 degree temps. The long length has been really nice. I would definitely recommend.

My daughter loves the long length for recess. The jacket itself is thinner so it' won't be great in extremely cold temps but it's suitable for 40 degree weather.
