The material gets stretchy when wet. It isn't the same material used in previous suits. I always buy expensive swim suits for my kids, as I feel it is worth every penny due to thick, well made material. This is not the case with this suit. We love Athleta swim suits! They last for years and hold up so well. We took off one star on this top as the straps are a smidge long and are not adjustable (which feels like a miss). Also, my daughter noticed that if she flipped it to the solid color side, you could see "everything" underneath. She isn't old enough to need or want to wear the pads that were included, so she is stuck only feeling comfortable wearing it on the printed side (which is super cute, so it's okay).
