I used to be devoted to Athleta's Mesh Run shorts exclusively for fitness and recreation. But when I ordered new ones this year, I didn't like the fit as much as I did. Even though they are same length, I just feel that the Weekender shorts, with the higher rise are more comfortable and provide the coverage that I prefer. AND they have pockets, plus a zippered pocket!

The shorts are great but the lime green is totally see through!! Who makes running shorts that are see through?? You can totally see the pocket linings, and underwear color too.

i hate these shorts. athleta seems to have abandoned the high rise mesh racer run - which fit me perfectly and were SO comfy - in favor of these, which aren't a decent replacement at all. I couldn't find a size that really worked - the inner brief is so much smaller compared to the overshort, and it's seams dig in and are very uncomfortable. the over short is baggy and huge and unflattering. the high rise isn't as high as the MRR. very disappointed in these.

Very lightweight and comfortable. Unfortunately just too unflattering in the bum area… just looked large and baggy. I find that to be a somewhat common find with athleta bottoms. Xsmall was a good fit other than it just looking bad from behind. 5'4" 120lbs. They should show a picture on the models with how much you can see the mesh liner underneath- I got the mint green… and returned.
