These were my favorite shorts but about 9 months after purchasing (worn under ten times) my first pair they have stretched so much I can hardly wear them... they fall down when I put things in the pockets now. I work with dogs and the other day a small dog jumped on me and almost pulled these shorts down right in front of a client. Omg. Comparison photo - my 9mo old black pair underneath my newish teal pair (which I purchased before I realized the black ones were stretching) and you can see a big difference in size even though they're both XS. Very unfortunate, I have never had an experience like this with my other Athleta clothing!!

I bought these because they're high waisted and had an interior pocket that fits a phone. However, my first 12 mile run in the humid south was miserable. These felt like a diaper by mile 6. They are way too heavy and hold onto sweat. I've never had shorts make me miserable on a long run, so I didn't test them out beforehand. These did. Second, you can't use the interior pocket for a phone, it jiggles SO bad. After running 5-6 steps, I had to stop and take it out and move it to my vest. I like that these shorts have actual pockets so I would use these for casual wear, but not actually running.
