I love the Hustle short so much (the original version that didn't have the super-angled leg opening) that it's hard to find a short that compares. I tried these in both the High-Rise and Medium-Rise. I followed the reviews and sized down to an XS from my usual Small. This worked great in the high-...rise and I kept the aloe color - so pretty! For the mid-rise, the XS fit as well. But I could see the subtle lining of the panty digging in, even through the print. Seeing it bothered me more than the feeling of it. I'm 5'6" and 128-130 lbs. I then tried my usual Small. Hubby gave me his input. He said the XS looked like it fit better and was more like the style I would wear, whereas he thought the Smalls looked more big and blousy. But the lining on the XS was just a tad too-snug so I opted to go with the Small (true to size) on the mid-rise short for a more COMFORTABLE fit. They are blousy and that is a shift from the Hustle short, so I wish there was a tad less "fabric" to them. I do love the pockets. I feel like I can wear these printed shorts for everything from workouts to around town. I guess I'm going blousy this season.
I bought these in 3 colors- black, white print, and navy print. These say mid rise, but they are high rise on me. They are super baggy. I'm keeping them because the printed shorts match some new Brooks I got. I bought XS, I'm 5'2", 110-115 lbs. I don't want size down in these because I think the lin...er size would annoy me. Please consider making petite length work out shorts, and not just in black or white.

I want so bad to like these but the fact that there's way too much extra fabric in the front and the length hits right at that point on the legs that when you run in them, it bunches and causes some horrible thigh rub, just doesn't allow me to like them. Casually walking around isn't bad, so I'll keep them for that. Bring a longer length for us girls with normal thighs!

A solid short. All the comfort and ease of a running short (built in brief, yay!) but with hand pockets including a hidden zip pocket. I do find them to be a bit more billowy/loose than the mesh racer run shorts, so I sized down. That made the waist a tiny bit tighter than I prefer, but it's not uncomfortable and I didn't have the poofy effect anymore around my hips and legs. Love these to throw on for running around town and they don't look quite as much like running shorts so I feel like I can look a little more put-together. Overall really like this. The built-in brief also fits nicely and is soft. A version with a softer knit waistband (no scrunch) might be nice for a true athleisure look and feel.
