I think I like it?

This is a nice shirt with some odd design choices. I like the fabric but it's much heavier than expected, almost jacket weight. The Bone color is a very nice neutral. The side button for the wrap effect is a cute idea but doesn't work unless you have a super tiny waist. My design suggestion is to m...

Nice concept

I really liked the concept of this shirt, but in its alternative state with the wrapped look, it's a bit of a fail for my frame. Overall it looks less draped and elegant and more like I frantically got dressed in the dark and missed a few buttons. The pocket is superfluous, and even more so when wra...

Who got paid to design this shirt???

This is an interesting design, and it really doesn't make much sense. It works for me, and I got the shirt on sale, so I'll keep it. But in all seriousness, why? Why is the a pocket on the side that gets pinched? Who? Who is this shirt for? You have to have a narrow waist and a flat stomach for it to work. The button style is indeed tight. I bought a Medium, and when buttoned it fits perfectly with my waist (measuring 31" around where it is snug), but how would anyone know if it will fit without trying it on? Strange.

I got a small since it oversized according to reviews. I could barely reach the button on the side which is completely on the side! I thought is was more in between. Sent it back plus it had the security tag on it!!

Is the Side Button Necessary

No. The side button was not needed. However this shirt is nicely made (good quality). I got it in Black XL. I have a pear shape (38-35-48). I can use the side button to define my waist more, but it's a snug fit. I prefer the relaxed fit (un-button) better. It is a versatile piece to have in my closet because it can go from gym to work, wearing it like a jacket or shirt.

Drowning in fabric

I got this in an extra small petite, it's very long, it looks good with a button done up on the side. But because I had to go down a size, as it's quite oversized, when I do the button up it's snug. I do like the heavier weight of fabric, but just too much fabric for me, being petite.

Comments about Mvp Button Down

shirt is made of a heavier material that can drape like a blazer. Can be dressed up or down. Like other reviews, is oversized when open, but snug when the side button is fastened. When using the side butting (if it's not too tight for the wearer), the shirt has to be readusted to have that more refined look. If you don't take the time to do that, a person might have a disheveled look. I bought both colors on a good sale and plan to use it for layering. not sure how often I will use the side button, though, but it's nice to have that option.

I have been looking for a thicker fabric, long shirt to layer on trips. This is it. Hoping it won't wrinkle much. I got a smaller size to fit sleeker - didn't really want the different button up. The sleeves fit better too and the silver buttons are cute.

I personally like the heavier weight of the shirt. Makes it great for laying. Wearing it open and lose gives it more of a blazer type feel/look. Like other reviews, the side button makes the shirt significantly tighter and feel constrictive, depending on what is worn underneath. It takes time to reposition the shirt to look "put together" with the side button. I have both colors.

I have a straight build, so from some of the other reviews I was worried that the wrapped fit would be too tight at my waist, but it works great; oversized everywhere and closes easily to make the wrap. A really distinctive piece.

I love this in black so bought the cream as well. I sized down. It's a little snug in a wrap style, but fits well, and then the traditional button down works as well. The cream is a little see-through.
