This is exactly what I've been looking for…I live in a large city where I'm out and about walking most days. I need clothes that are as cool and comfortable as shorts but not shorts! This dress is perfect! The fabric is smooth , holds its shape, and doesn't cling. I bought all 4 colors and washed on...e to compare for shrinkage- no shrinkage! Hung it to dry as per the instructions and it dried in 4 hours with no wrinkles! Will be wearing it casually as pictured and also with sandals and a jacket. Runs true to size. I'm 5'6" ,115 lbs and bought a S. The length is about 1-2" above my knee.
I have this dress in black, blue, and grey. I am usually a Small, sometimes XS. But the small in this dress was way too clingy in all the wrong places. At 5'3", the small length was OK. The medium is a better fit, but is too long, hitting mid-knee. Wish it came in petite (at the time of this review,... there is only rose color in petite). I like the quality enough that I'll probably keep and spend the extra $ to have them hemmed.

ordered my size but found this very unflattering…too baggy I returned it. I did love and keep the Black Ribbed T shirt dress…a Small Tall..the length and fit was perfect…maybe the above dress was made for a larger frame woman. I love the fit, length, and style of this dress, after too many Athleta dresses that were too short. My only complaint is the rough and itchy nylon thread that is used in the seams of ALL of the Athleta tops and dresses in the past year. Please remember that some of us have very sensitive skin. Adding a full length seam down the back doesn't help! The fact that this dress is not skin tight helped.
