Wish it had more coverage

Bought this for my 10 year old. She loves the look and feel, but the back doesn't cover enough and rides up her butt. :( I know the current style for adults is to have less coverage, but I don't want that for my kid.

Body length is too short for a size 16. My daughter's wardrobe is mostly Athleta and sizes 14 and 16 have always fit perfectly.

Super cute pattern and quality fabric, but the fit is off. My daughter is so disappointed. Her usual Athleta size was way too short in the torso. It felt too tightly stretched and the top of the suit barely covered what it needed to. But the size up was too big, baggy in the body and gaping at the leg holes. Her two-piece suit in the same pattern fits perfectly. She had a one-piece in a different style last year that fit perfectly, but it is outgrown. She didn't like the colours on offer in the other styles this year, but was really excited about this one. Such a shame that the fit is so off.

I bought two bathing suits for my granddaughters, one in size M (8-10) and one in L (12). They are vastly different in size. The M (8-10) is small for what I would consider 8/10, and the L12 is big. I'm not sure what to do, return them or exchange the M size one.
