Athleta has the best spandex around - I wish that Atletha & Old Navy worked together to put these spandex underneath the ON 2-in-1. Unfortunately, if like me you were a fan of prior year Athleta 2-in-1 shorts that used to put a silicone gripper on the spandex part, this doesnt have that but they s...till stay down well. I dont love the fabric of the top layer. But they don't look bad. They're just flimsy and thin feeling. They run a tiny bit big but I'm glad I ordered my normal size, I'd rather tighten them than have them be too small.

I have purchased so many items from athleta over the last year and have loved every piece… except for these shorts! These shorts were a nightmare on my run. They bunch up so badly and are extremely unflattering when they do, giving me a "diaper" look. Because they are split all the way up the sides,... I kept having to pull the entire front of the shorts out from between my legs. Unless you have an extreme thigh gap, these are not going to work for you. I have to wonder if they even tested these out on an actual person before putting them into production because of how dysfunctional they are.
