I love these pants. I bought them in black and also in brown. I wish I had purchased light blue before they sold out! Please offer these again next summer in light aqua. Also please offer them in pale lavender-periwinkle next year -- that color right in between light blue and lavender. I LOVE that these have an elastic waist, obviously. The length is great on me. The only thing I don't like is the tie string at the waist. Wearing most of the (cotton, close-fitting) tanktops that I want to wear with these pants, there is a little (yet definitely visible) lump under my tank top just below my belly button where the tie sits. It helps if I don't tie the strings and push them inside the pants. But this feels slightly weird and less comfortable. It would be far better IMO with no string -- just a regular elastic waist -- to have a smooth line. I do not tuck in my tank tops because that would look weird on me. If you are wearing a cropped tank top, a looser fitting tank top, or you tuck your tops into your pants then it's not going to be an issue. On me, these pants have *slightly* more room in the rear than necessary. It seems I can get rid of the bunching at the rear by adjusting the elastic so the extra fabric is better distributed...but I'm not sure how frequently I will need to adjust this while I'm wearing them. At the waist, they are perfect for me. Next year, please make these pants with no string tie at the waist. Thanks!

I bought the petite small and they were so versatile for a trip to London and Paris- could dress with a tee or a tank or even a long sleeve shirt. The length was perfect and I could wear tennies or sandals and look put together. They also wash well. I may get another color.

The fit on these is fantastic—heavy enough to drape just right, and light enough to wear in hot temps. Felt great when I wore them in Europe … until I took them off and realized how badly they'd pilled after one day. Black pair is noticeable but wearable. Brown pair pilled so badly, I'm sure to have a hole in them if I wear them again. I know linen is a fragile fabric, but I expect something at this price point to be better than single use.

I loved the pants; Unfortunately, I did not see the line that said they run small. I will need to return and order a larger size.

These pants are comfortable and cute for warm days. They do run quite large. I'm 5'7, 140 lbs and typically wear a 6. I ordered these in a small and had to size down to an XS, which I never wear. They also stretch out some with wear. The length is good. Can't speak to how well they'll hold up as they're relatively new and I haven't washed them. H

Terrible quality! After less than month is ripped

I love these pants!!!! They are so comfy and breathable for the summer time. They fit me perfectly, makes my waist look small and my butt look great, but loose and flowy along the legs. I would maybe have done a Medium for a flowier look, but I don't like too much extra fabric.

The undyed color fits me well, especially because zippered pockets mean they don't gap open and create an unflattering silhouette. I tried on three of the brown in the same size but somehow they are all just too small and create stretch whiskers across the crotch. ??? Excited to wear these! For reference, 5'5" 146lb, curvy, purchased a size 6.

The quality of these are terrible. All I did was wash them and wear them once -- already pilling, threads are coming loose, the fabric is snagging! The fabric is also on the thinner side and kinda paper-y. I'm 5' 2" and the petite length is also still too long. Love the actual style and fit, but for the price, the quality is just not there.m

I've been wearing the Retreat Linen High Rise Wide Leg Pant for a number of years. They hold up well, run true to size and can be worn for a variety of events. I loved the mint hue/color depicted on my laptop and iPhone and purchased them. Unfortunately, it looks NOTHING like the images shown on Athleta's webiste. It's a muted blue with white. And the drawstring tie is bright white so the contrast stands out loudly. Not a good look. Looking back, other reviewers have commented the same sentiments. Wished I had paid attention. I'll return at the store and choose something else in person.
