I wear a prosthetic and these flare style pants are perfect at camouflaging the bulky equipment—no one even knows! Besides the obvious benefit for anyone who has to use equipment under their pants, these Elation Flares are fitted in all the right places, making you look amazing (even after the last... three years when gym access has been limited). The versatility is unparalleled as well—I use the black for EVERYTHING: Travel, Business, Weddings, Family Outings/Holidays, Office Settings, Speaking Engagements, and of course, for Hiking/Biking/Pilates and any other athletic pursuit. BONUS: Quick Dry Material! I wear these in summer, too, and was with a younger family member who was enjoying time in the kiddie pool and decided to dump a large quantity of water on my lap as part of a game of "Oh No!" The repeated splashes and water dumps dried so fast despite the pants being completely soaked—it was truly miraculous and allowed me to continue to spend precious time with family without worrying about changing clothes. The pants are wash and wear and are wrinkle-free. No ironing required! The silhouette is so flattering that I get "noticed" relatively frequently but don't stress that it's for the wrong reasons because of how the pants smooth and firm the body—and I am not thin by any stretch of the imagination. "Thick" would be more accurate, lol. I've bought these pants in every colour and keep refreshing the black option because I wear them for so many things. The different lengrhs are great as well. Honestly, Athleta's Elation Flares are a wardrobe game changer down to the discreet back pocket! Heartily recommend these no-fade, no wrinkle wonders to anyone who appreciates style, versatility and longevity in their clothing. I have had Athleta yoga pants in the past and was excited to try these. However, I was disappointed by how high the rise is! It creates a weird, unflattering line under fitted yoga tops and requires frequent adjusting. I am otherwise happy with the comfort and softness of the pant below the waist, a...nd the length is perfect (I am 5'4 and got regular length in my usual size XS). Unfortunately, these pants were final sale so I cannot return them. However, the spiced cabernet color is even more gorgeous in person. I will just need to find a yoga top baggy enough to hide the strange-looking line it creates across my mid-riff, but that is still fitted enough not to flip up during class. Bummer.

I have these in the cypress colorway and they are the BEST flares- not leggings! The flare starts above the knee which is much more flattering on big quads. I ordered the black rib option in the same size and I am so disappointed. They are a legging flare somehow with a totally different fit. Much tighter all the way past the knee. They were final sale and so now I'm stuck with a pair of pants I won't wear. I should be able to trust hat the same exact size in an item should fit the same, no matter the color or fabric. Poor quality control, Athleta.
