My 8 yr old loves this tank. I like the wide straps. It fits snug and tight- maybe on the small side. She is smaller and bought a Small- probably could have done medium. It is very fit to the waist and body. She doesn't wear this one to school. It works because she is tiny- if she was older/ broader shoulders/ larger in the chest this would be a tough style to let her wear as a shirt- would be more like a long sport bra for underneath something.
