Sooo cute, but beware ultra high rise

I was so so excited to see Elation back without the ultra high rise!!! And in this super cute design. As an extra short girly, 5' strong, the ultra high rise is very high on me (mostly up to my sports bra) which can be unflattering imo. So when I saw this didn't advertise that, I was hype. Material change?

I'm not sure if there has been a change in the material used in the elation legging but it sure seems like it. These are not as soft or stretchy. I like the blue stripe but wish these were as soft as previous elation leggings. Fit is slightly smaller too due to less stretchy material.

The crotch area was a little loose. Usually I'm between a size M and L. However it did stay on during yoga and pilates. I would probably size down if you're inbetween sizes and if you're planning to be more active than that in these leggings. Looks great with the matching top though! #sweepstakes

The blue legging with black stripes looks very cute and the sizing is perfect. I took one star off because of bad sewing at the waist seam where two different colors meet. Athleta needs to check clothes for defects before sending them to the customers.

I have numerous pairs of solid- colored leggings, and those can get "boring." I also have several older, outdated floral and multicolored pairs. This solid-colored pair with the simple black stripe was a nice change!
