I wear fleece leggings daily. I try the Athleta ones every year. Each year they are different. I like the ones from this year a lot. I'm very short and not big. I buy the leggings on the large size to wear over another pair of leggings because I'm a dog walker and am outside all day long. I b...uy these in a medium even though I am four foot nine and weigh less than 100 pounds. I can wear the petite or the regular. They are both a little long, which is fine. I roll them under, or they just slouch up under my boots. They are comfortable and warm.
These are the warmest tights I have found so far, much thicker than lululemon thermal fast and free and lorna jane amy thermal tights. The fabric is thick fleece and a lot looser with minimal compression. The outside has a cotton/jersey look that pills easily (unlike the 'shiny' look of lululemon ti...ghts). They do look thick and bunch up around creases. At first I thought they would be too loose because a size down from my usual wasn't available, but I have found them useful to be able to wear second merino leggings underneath for walking around or running in winter. The regular length is close to full length on me (170 cm) which I prefer. It is a true high rise. I need to tie the waist drawstring to keep them from falling down. I usually feel the cold and I find these warm enough around 0C for walking and I have used them for running with a second pair of merino in -10C to -15C +wind chill and was warm but not sweating. After a few washes, these have pilled a lot on the outside which significantly detracts from the appearance.

I have always LOVED this legging. My last pair, circa 2018, are still going but I treated myself to a fresh pair. Unfortunately, within 3 months they were pilling horribly. Now the brand new pair looks more worn than the 7-yr old pair. So disappointed!

I live in these all winter and I love that they added pockets last year to fit a phone. Warm and cozy, but this year, the black fabric pilled terribly. I purchased them Fall 2024, and the fabric is much more worn than the same tights purchased 3 years ago, despite wearing both pair often. Still, I buy a pair every year.

PLEASE bring back the old Altitude legging!! I own three other well-worn pairs of this warm and comfy pant from previous years....and they all look better than the new one I purchased this year! After just one wearing, washed in cold water and hung to dry, this new fabric pilled horribly...all over! Submitting this review with the hope that this will be resolved by next season!!

These were great for the first few times i wore them, then they started pilling all over! I only wear them to walk my dog now. I don't think they will last more than one season. Really disappointed because typically Athleta is good quality but these leggings are terrible.

I have several pair of these. Some are five years old? Four? I like them! I bought two pair this season (good colors!) and wish I had not. They are so badly pilled. I bought them in October! At this point, they're embarrassing. If I wear them out of the house, I make sure I'm covered to the knees. They're otherwise great leggings, but for the money, I'm guessing there are better options.

I love this legging! It is so warm, cozy, and comfortable! Even though they are warm they are very light due to the type of material used. I have 3 pairs and don't want to be without one to wear while washing the others. Highly recommend!

These are better to wear under snowpants for warmth rather than as pants to wear out. They are thick and very soft and don't offer any compression and fabric pills easily.
