Cute, comfortable shorts! Needed some summer clothes that will stretch while pregnant.

Was a little nervous about these given the mixed reviews on fit/fabric, but found they look and fit quite nicely -- once I tried a couple sizes. Fortunately I live near a store that had them in stock. I'm 5'9, 135lbs, and assumed I needed the small; however the sales associate told me to try an XS as well, and sure enough, the XS fit was better. Other than the waist having more give in the S (not overly so, and it cinched in fine with the drawstring without bunching), the additional fabric on the S was a little noticeable in the lower abdomen and lower back area, and the legs were a little wider. It wasn't frumpy/baggy at all though and I wouldn't have been upset getting the S if the XS was sold out...but the associates were right, the XS had a slightly cleaner look to it. I don't mind the material at all, but know that lighter poplin fabrics almost always have a bit of transparency to them, so you will see the pockets and you will want to be sure you're wearing the flesh-colored undies (that being said, I still bought the citron color bc I loved it). I think these are great for walking/light hiking, as a coverup at the beach or wherever, or for general casual wear. Not what I'd wear to the gym, but I'd repurpose them for jogging on vacation if I didn't want to pack extra workout clothes.

Love these shorts for hot weather or being on the water. They do rise up on me, however, I have wide hips and a small waist. I typically wear a medium and I bought a small. I'm 5'2" and 130lbs weight lifter.

I love wearing this active mid rise shorts for the summer, and it was very amazing to wear for the best summer active outfit ever.

I tried these on in the store. 5'6 150 lbs and small fit but it was still like a balloon in the crotch area. Also these don't need the really odd tie. I wish less shorts had an external extras drawsteing.

These shorts are very comfortable and fit true to size. I am 5'6 and 150, I bought the medium and they fit great, with a little extra room to move easily in. I was afraid they'd be a little snug, but they have lots of room to feel comfortable. They are the same high quality I'd expect from Athleta.
