The style of this skirt, navy, with the white tipping, caught my eye every time I saw it. The design is super cute and flattering, and with the shorts with large ball pockets underneath, the skirt is practical too. I found this runs a little small. I tend to take Athleta leggings in M and sometimes ...S. The M was a little too tight across my albeit perimenopausal belly, pulling a little in the back. The L was very comfortable and not too baggy. If they had made this in Tall, I probably would have purchased that size, but the Regular is not too short - and I'm all leg @ 5'10". Looking forward to wearing this for court sports and other athletic endeavors.
No one puts a tennis ball down into a pocket. The ball gets tucked up into a pocket or under the edge of the shorts under the skirt. This might work as a phone pocket depending on the size.

I was so excited for this green color and wanted the whole outfit. The popover arrived first and the super long sleeves and weird hood were certainly strange but I convinced myself everything together was going to be totally cute. The skirt arrived and the waist band has an unattractive seam that turns up and makes it look cheap. Sadly, it's not at all how it appears online. I bought the skirt, bra, hat and popover all on sale; but, those prices, compared to the quality of other brands, are way high. Everything will be returned.

I love these! I own them in the 4 solid colors and wear them weekly to tennis and golf. They've held up well so far and go with all of my tops. I like the grip on the shorts which keep them from rising up and love the side slit that makes it easy to grab balls from the pocket. I also really like the band on the waist so I can tighten them a little as the waist is a smidge big on me but the XS was too tight on the thighs. I highly recommend these!

Every year Athleta puts out a new skort with a bit of a twist, which allows me to add to my collection without being repetitive. Althought it's marketed as a tennis skirt, I use mine for golf and everyday. Their stay put shorts are why I keep coming back to Athleta.
