I purchased the navy, wanting to be sure the length was not too long before ordering the black. I am slightly under 5'3" and 70 yrs old. It is to the top of my knee which is perfect length when I need to look a bit nicer , ex dining on a cruise, going to the theatre or work if I weren't retired. I ...know it will pack great for trips. I went back to order black and the size I prefer is gone. I hope Altheta brings it back in black and if not makes another style in the 17" length. A style that can be used for looking good at work and just out and about.
After purchasing many skorts from Athleta, I was excited to find the longer 17" length. The style and details are great (length, fit, pockets) but the under lining (shorts) is not comfortable. Being 5' 8" and 125 lbs, I have never been unsatisfied with fit in any of the Brooklyn skorts or pants. ...This style just isn't the same. Please bring back the Vienna cargo skort - same length - perfect in every way. Or introduce the Brooklyn Short in a 17" length please!

It's the right length, it's the right fit, and most important it holds a phone securely! Won't fall out of a pocket. More colors please! I have all 3! Oh and the white is not see through. Fit is normal. Buy it!!! Love it!!!!
