I am 52, 5'2, 140 lbs and the petite medium look and feel like they were custom made. I have both colors and I am waiting for more!! "Dressy" sweatpants!!
First the good qualities - the fabric feels amazing, and the legs fit/hang nicely. The length was perfect, and the zippered pockets are a great feature. Now for the not so good qualities - I'm not sure who these would be considered mid rise for. The waist band is 4 inches tall, and it's another 7 ...inches from the bottom of the waist band to the crotch. That is an 11 inch rise. I guess high rise is trendy right now, but I don't love the old-man-pants-at-my-ribcage-look. And if I wore them mid-rise (just below natural waist) I would have to fold the waist band over, or pull it down. And I'd have to be okay with the saggy crotch/diaper look. Which I also don't love. I think the waist band also runs pretty big. I usually wear size 4 in athleta pants or size S, and there was a good inch or two of gap between my skin and the top of the band. I would try sizing down to XS, but I think the rise would still be a problem and the legs would be too tight. The takeaway: if you have a very long torso, or really love the ultra high rise look, and you have thinner legs and can size down from usual so the waistband actually fits, these are the joggers for you!

Returning this. I bought the Petite Medium and the legs are very big. Kind of balloon-y. I'm going to try a regular small and hopefully the waist isn't too tight...

Perfect walking/workout pants. They're comfortable and the color goes with all of my tops. The pockets are a great feature too, I can take my phone along with ease and not worry about it falling out of my pocket. My favorite workout/walking pants.

These joggers are super cute - my only complaint is that the waistband is just a little high, which causes it to fold when you sit.

The pants are very comfortable! Only reason for four stars and not five is that they're expensive, and the "tummy control" is more like waist control. It feels like it's a bit high and doesn't cover the bottom of my tummy. I bought them to volunteer at a golf tournament and walked 54 holes in them in comfort! #sweepstakes

This is my second pair of Venice High Rise Joggers and I have one in my shopping cart now. These pants are amazing! Perfect rise (no weird muffin top) and perfect room in the thighs. As a health/PE teacher, these are allow me to move in class without looking sloppy. I am 5'9", 180 lbs with an athletic build.

I have several pairs and the petite small fit perfectly. I have tried two different colors recently both had to be returned as the waist is now about an inch smaller and the fabric seems to not be as stretchy. No longer my favorite.

These are great for car trips, camping, or bopping around town. Sometimes I want the comfort without looking like I came from yoga. These fit really well, are flattering, and have great detail on the pockets.

These are good joggers for spring and early fall but walking/running outdoors in the late fall could get chilly depending on your location (Northeast).
