These shorts are super cute! I got them in 'clay' and they'll look great with white tops. I've never had Trekkie shorts before and was reluctant to purchase because of some reviews saying they were not as good as previous years…I'm not sure what the difference is, but I think these are great! They a...re a durable and comfortable material and are very flattering on. I love how there are no pockets on the back…It doesn't make the butt look bulky! I am 5'3" 135 lbs and got a medium. I tried the small and they fit as well, but were a bit snug on my waist. I do wish the leg opening was a slight bit more narrow. However, the cut is nice and they do not flare out at the bottom like some shorts, which I do not like. I could have gone with small or medium, but opted for the medium for slightly more comfortable fit. Overall, I am very happy with these shorts!
These were always my go to shorts for hiking. They were light, comfortable and flattering. I had at least five different colors! These new changes completely turn these into a different pair of shorts. I hate the new mid-rise as the former high rise was so flattering and now the mid rise hits me in ...a weird spot. I also dislike the drawstring as before the silhouette was smooth and now I have a bulky knot at the front right where I don't want it. Guess I will look second-hand for the old version as I will not purchase this new version. Very disappointed.

Ugh. Don't usually buy from Athleta as iotems are expensive. Usually between a small and medium in shorts at gap and old navy. 5'1" and 135lbs. Went by size chart and a review and got this in medium. Took the chance even though it was final sale cause I really wanted a nice pair of hiking shorts. Turns out way way too big. Should have gone with small. So sad. Can't exchange.

I love the regular Trekkie shorts from previous seasons and these are just as perfect. It's very hot where I live and they're great if you're going to be out where you may be sweating because they dry so quickly.
