I live in Seattle where it feels like it rains all day everyday so you really need a coat that's functional beyond aesthetics. This one checks boxes I didn't know I had. I'm 5'1" and slightly curvy so I generally have to size up in bottoms compared to tops. This trenchcoat is snug around the waist ...but roomy around the hips. so I'm able to move around freely, sit, stand and do everything while it's zipped and buttoned up. it doesn't fit like a straight jacket limiting movement. The 2 zips also aid in this need for freedom of movement. it's got a thick feel to it but you will definitely need to layer with this one, for the cold and wind. Because of the slight weight to it, the hood mostly stays put. Sizing is good. I wore 2 layers underneath and I could wear my usual size S comfortably. Aesthetics are top notch. Agree with other comments. love it. I definitely recommend it.
Don't know how quality control didn't catch this. I like the coat so much that I might keep it and wear unzipped. Not ideal for a rain coat. To Athleta designers: no woman's body is made this way ! I wonder if they used dimensions for a man. Men are built this way. The way this coat fits … is... just how a man's shirt fits a woman. Big in arms/shoulders, and very tight across lower waist and hips. In my case, I cant zip this coat. And it's so big in the top that I can't get a bigger size. My proportions are extremely average as I could have been a 'fit model'. Beware- there is some kind of mistake here. Still a pretty coat - SUCH A SHAME !

Bought this for a trip I'm taking to rainy season. The snaps on the sleeves are nice way to keep the sleeves tight by the wrist.

I have been looking for a coat like this for months. It is waterproof but does not feel like a rain jacket. Super soft and flattering. It will be perfect for travel and daily wear.

Very sleek, polished jacket. I love the ability to cinch the waist.

The jacket fits big NOT small as others have stated. I ordered a petite large as my waist is 33 inches which is the top end of the large in your size guide. I was hoping there would still be enough room to wear a warm sweater underneath but that the sleeves wouldn't be crazy long. I also made sure I ordered a jacket with an adjustable hood (searched all the comments for this) so that I could see while wearing it in the rain. This jacket is a fail on all accounts. Your size guide is seriously off!! And is it really so hard to put a REAR adjustment onto a hood so you can pull it up away from your face?? Disappointed, but no time to send it back as we leave for Peru next week.

This raincoat is perfect for a rainy day. The fit is flattering, the fabric is high quality, the length is perfect and the hood covers the head completely.

Although I got the PXS size, the sleeves were still too long. Cuffing them did not look good either. I also wished it would have had more pockets. However, the material was quite soft and didn't feel like your typical waterproof material. The zippers felt solid and really smooth too.

It is a nice raincoat but I did not like part inside where you can tighten the waist since I usually wear a light jacket underneath my raincoats. However others may like that.

It is not "bunchy" like so many raincoats I've tried on lately. Though I weigh 110 lbs, the wrong clothing can make me look matronly due to my petite size and small bones. I also like the weight and feel of the fabric that can be worn in the spring.
