I have bought over 10 of these in the previous release, in all colors, and I bought L and M in the new sizing. I am 5'0", 170 pounds, hourglass figure, between a 10 or 12 depending on brand. The previous size I bought 10P and they fit relaxed, so they ran big, and for this new sizing I got them in b...oth M and L. These are the measurements in inches, laying flat: Petite Medium, 17" waist, 22" hip. Petite Large, 15.5" waist, 20" hip. Both are a 28" inseam. All measurements were unstretched, and the fabric will give 1-2 inches of stretch. I kept both the L and the M because they both fit, but the M is more fitted- better for work- and the L is relaxed- for weekend mode! I hope this helps if you are trying to figure out which size to get. I wish they were a tad shorter, most brands do a 26 or 27" inseam for petites but I can wear these with sneakers or sandals with a little height. They cannot be hemmed or it would be a small fortune because of the zipper and button. The zipper and the button help with the shape of the leg and how it drapes though, so it would not be the same with them removed. These are my favorite pants, they are just like two pairs I wore back in the late 90s until I destroyed them with use. I hope they release them in more colors, a silver gray, a grayish blue and a burgundy would be great in this cut. I bought a bunch so they can be my "uniform" for work and so I can wear them for decades, I don't care if they go out of style.
I ordered a size down (2) because I know the Trekkie tends to loosen with wear and others said it runs big. The pants fit well and were very cute. However, my first thought was that they are too short. I looked at the reviews (photos of 5' 8" reviewers also looked too short) and then went back to ...see the length. The inseam on Petite is 28.5 Reg is 30.5", the tall is 33.5". Too bad the length on Reg wasn't 31.5 making it 2" inches shorter than the Tall. I think given the 3" difference between Reg and Tall, that the Tall will be too long. But, I guess I'll never know as the tall is sold out in a 2.

I now have these pans tin white, navy, and black. Pants are so comfortable;I just throw them on in the morning and they are my all day attire. They are great for airport travel as well.
