It's exactly as pictured. If you're thinking of belting it and wearing it as a shirt dress—you can't. I ordered to size and it fits in the shoulders and chest but after that it really billows about. It's made to be worn open and / or loose as shown. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd tried it on in a store but I ordered it and don't hate it enough to return it. It's a solid "meh".

No offense to the designer but this is like a graduation gown gone wrong…but bigger. I'm grateful I don't have to hide my body this much. Immediate no. If it was a final sale I would have hemmed it to a miniskirt length which would balance the oversized fit. Two stars is if I turned it into miniskirt.

Dear Athleta: You are selling "premium clothing for premium pricing", you need to use Premium Fabrics. This shirt/dress/caftan should be linen or cotton or a combo of both, what it actually is is a combo of two different plastic based fabrics. Why? I like a lot of your pieces, and still buy some, but luxury clothing is made from cotton, cashmere, wool, flax linen- not plastic. Please take this free advice to upgrade your product line.

Love Athleta clothes that can flex for corporate world and hoped this would be it. Usually medium petite to occasionally large petite and this is hilariously huge in medium petite, unfortunately. Could possibly size down to XS but am not sure bust would fit. Bummer! Hoped to sub this in for the Urbanite dress but alas it will not.
