What is up with all Athleta clothing recently. I cannot find anything that is sized appropriately. Everything is either humangous or too short. This Trade Winds Jacket falls into the category humangous. There was no way to make it usable with all the fabric it has despite the cinching features. I was looking for a cape like rain jacket but this is not it. I have no complaints about its length or material, but the style is not for me.

I am an xs. Ordered an xs. Very happy with sizing. The design is fun. Happy for the hood. Would not pay full price. The sale price caught my eye. Happy with purchase.

I got this jacket in white and it's nearly everything I expected. Long, flowy, gauze, slightly sheer. I bought it for casual wear and travel, which hits the mark. Why the two stars? The size!! I am normally a large or an extra-large in Athleta items. I bought it in large as I read the reviews but still like an oversized look. I am absolutely SWIMMING in this coat. I can wear my baby in a front carrier, zip the coat shut, and still have extra room. The arms go down to my fingertips, and I have generally long arms. I went to request an exchange as I still want the item, but had no luck as it's final sale. Debating what to do here as I don't want to drop money on a smaller size and have no option to return the one I already bought.

As much as I love the style & colour (Guava), this jacket is just so impractical, and I will be returning it. The length is just too long! At first I just looked at myself standing in the mirror, but when I walked around in my house, I realized how impractical it is, in part due to the length. Water and dirt is just going to get kicked up inside the jacket. Possibly it will get caught on things. If the jacket was a few inches shorter in the back it would be much better. Also the hood functionality could be improved. For size reference, I got the xxs (petite xs was only a fraction shorter, but the overall proportions were terrible in this size for me). I'm 5'3" and usually an xxs-xs.
