This dress has a great shape to it, coming from a pretty curvy person. I'm 5'4" and 160lbs with pretty wide hips, bigger thighs, and small waist. This dress fits very nicely for my body type. Doesn't hug anywhere too tight but still has shape. Perfect length too - not too short or anything. I will s...ay this dress runs VERY big. Normally a M in typical Athleta clothes (and L/XL on bottom + M on top in other brands) and I got a small in this. Fabric quality is great per usual with Athleta clothing. I will say the reason for less stars is that it doesn't have a liner / shorts under the dress. The top part also just has a liner to cover chest and not a true built in bra, which is sad. Luckily I think society is more accepting of not wearing a bra so I still went for it. #sweepstakes
I love athleta products and I was so excited to get this dress. Being 4'11" (and 120#), I had to order online since petites aren't carried in the store- an issue with all products. I went to the Athleta store and tried on a small regular in this dress and it fit amazing and was so cute!! I ordered ...the small petite and received it quickly. It didn't fit anything like the small in-store. The small petite was actually bigger than the small I tried on. It was a little big in the top (I'm a 36C). I hoped once it was washed it would shrink enough to fit great, like the one in the store. Not only did it still not fit after washing, the top of the dress rolls over, inside out, showing the rubber line that is supposed to help hold the top up. It also looks old and wrinkly. I ironed it to try and make it look better but it doesn't. I'm so disappointed that I wasted money on a dress I won't ever wear. Of course it can't be returned since it's been washed. I do like the pockets and it is really short which I was happy with since I can't usually find things short enough. Otherwise, the dress just hangs with no definition- at all, even in the top. I would advise against wasting your money on this dress. I really wanted to love this dress but I'll prob end up giving it away. Again- soooo disappointed.

Everyone needs this dress! I saw it on line and wanted to get it but wasn't sure of the size. Since I get petite most of the time. I am usually a perfect S but certain sweatshirts I have gotten xs. I was in the store and tried on both in size regular. I'm 5'1 and 119 lbs and the xs fit perfectly! If you have a bigger bust, I'd recommend the small bit for me, the small was a little too roomy and gaped under the arms. I am 32D. It has a little strip of soft bra like material if you want to go bra-less. Yes it wrinkles, but it's linen! Can't avoid that. But it's adorable and will wear to work or dinner or hanging out!!!

Love love love the dress. Wore it with a blue jean jacket and cute sneakers. Unfortunately, when I washed as directed it was hard to make it look good again. I tried ironing with steam And magic sizing and it didn't return to its great original shape. I still love the dress though just wish quality was better

Love this vibrant orange color. Dress is cool for summer days and has adjustable straps. I tried on the white in store and it is see through. Purchased the orange color online. You must size down possibly two sizes cause it has a boxy fit. Some may find the length too short, especially if you are tall.

I bought in petite and still quite roomy. Love the stretchy material. I wore it solely as a dress. The length is touch short as my husband pointed out to be careful with certain movements. He asked if shorts needed to be worn underneath. Need to wear a strapless bra underneath. It may become a bathing suit cover up for me.
