I am THRILLED to see the Salutation 2.0 jacket in bigger sizes!!!! I wanted this jacket so bad. I have almost every pair of Elation leggings in every colorway & wanted the Salutation jacket, too. As a fitness instructor of pilates, yoga, athletic trainer & high school coach,, I live in athlet...ic wear every day, seven days a week. I love Athleta and am constantly getting compliments on my sharp outfits, which fit me so well. I have an athletic build, and if you have athletic arms, shoulders, a bust, or any curves & If you "could" zip it up, you would feel squeezed into a sausage casing. I wanted to keep it, but I sadly returned it. Then it was so short I even ordered the tall to get a little more length & hope it would fit- I just couldn't make the XL work. Now they have the Salutation 2.0 jacket in larger sizes so I can finally get one to complete so many outfits!! One of the biggest reasons that keep me loyal to ATHLETA more than the "other" well-known brands is because Athleta realizes women come in all shapes, sizes, heights, and body shapes. Thank you, Athleta, for giving me so many options and for so many other women who want to work out in quality, great-looking athletic clothes that are size & height-inclusive; you really understand women's bodies are not uniform. ATHLETA, you have truly lived up to the "Power of She," & by understanding and you help to Empower us with your clothing to help us look & feel good so we can move our bodies, feel better, and live better. That's a big win in my book!

The updated version does not live up to its predecessor. I own 4 ribbed version of the older style and decided to try the new version and purchased ribbed white and black. Don't expect the quality of the older version. 1) fabric is noticeably thinner. As a result the new fabric is unable to hold any...thing in. Also, it used to be nylon but now it's polyester. This jacket feels flimsy and does not feel like a quality jacket it once used to be. 2) cut. The updated cut is terrible. It doesn't have the snatched look anymore and is looser fitting. 3) collar. What is with this collar? This collar is so flimsy. The updated version is basically something I could get from Winners for $20. I cannot believe the decline in quality. I used to recommend the Saluation Jacket over Lululemon Define Jacket but I won't be making that recommendation anymore. This is not a quality jacket. Athleta. Do better!

I love the material and zippered pockets. The stitching allows for an inside drop pocket also. I size up for room for my arms and shoulders. For an athletic brand, why are the arms and shoulders always so snug? But sizing up causes the bottom to flare out more than I like. The cropped version is a better fit for me, but they aren't usually released in the same colors. I love the pine color and was really hoping I could like this fit, but I don't like it enough.

I ordered my usual size small. It was very fitted. So, if this is the look you want, it will be great. I wanted something a bit less clingy, so, I am returning. For reference, 5'4" 115# and athletic build.
