I was so excited for this set after trying on the orange in store! Sadly the light green was COMPLETELY see through and I was so disappointed :( still a great coverage short so I will probably trade in for darker color

I likes the high rise, more squared-off look of these shorts as compared to other ones I have that are midrise and rounded on the legs. I feel like these flatter a more athletic figure. The high rise allows for wearing of shorter tops. I ordered M first because that's the size I wear in bottoms at Athleta but found that they were too tight across my hips/thighs. For the more flattering look, I exchanged for a L and I like these more. A lot of reviews state "true to size" but I actually think sizing up gives more room for curvier hips and legs!

I used to be devoted to Athleta's Mesh Run shorts exclusively for fitness and recreation. But when I ordered new ones this year, I didn't like the fit as much as I did. Even though they are same length, I just feel that the Weekender shorts, with the higher rise are more comfortable and provide the coverage that I prefer. AND they have pockets, plus a zippered pocket!

i hate these shorts. athleta seems to have abandoned the high rise mesh racer run - which fit me perfectly and were SO comfy - in favor of these, which aren't a decent replacement at all. I couldn't find a size that really worked - the inner brief is so much smaller compared to the overshort, and it's seams dig in and are very uncomfortable. the over short is baggy and huge and unflattering. the high rise isn't as high as the MRR. very disappointed in these.
