This is exactly what I've been looking for…I live in a large city where I'm out and about walking most days. I need clothes that are as cool and comfortable as shorts but not shorts! This dress is perfect! The fabric is smooth , holds its shape, and doesn't cling. I bought all 4 colors and washed on...e to compare for shrinkage- no shrinkage! Hung it to dry as per the instructions and it dried in 4 hours with no wrinkles! Will be wearing it casually as pictured and also with sandals and a jacket. Runs true to size. I'm 5'6" ,115 lbs and bought a S. The length is about 1-2" above my knee.
I have this dress in black, blue, and grey. I am usually a Small, sometimes XS. But the small in this dress was way too clingy in all the wrong places. At 5'3", the small length was OK. The medium is a better fit, but is too long, hitting mid-knee. Wish it came in petite (at the time of this review,... there is only rose color in petite). I like the quality enough that I'll probably keep and spend the extra $ to have them hemmed.

Love the material. I read bunches of others' reviews and went with a large tall (normal Athleta size is M). The fit is great, not too clingy but still shows shape, and the extra length goes right below my knees which looks great. I'll wear this all seasons in AZ and definitely use routinely for travel.

This item came with the security tag still attached to the dress. I tried to cut it although, I was successful in cutting off the metal pin the dress ended up with a hole in it. Such a shame as the color is gorgeous and it can't be returned as it's final sale. Have your associates do a better job when shipping items Athleta!

This runs wide from the waist down. I purchased a M I'm 5 6 130 pounds. Unfortunately I can't return it. The material was thin & light weight. I feel the model in the picture wearing the dress is misleading the true fit of the dress. For reference I'm a true medium.
