Love these shorts, however they come with a big *. They are very comfortable and breathe well. Wash and wear. They most definitely will shrink if you wash them on the wrong temperature or if you dry them too much. My biggest problem with these shorts is the inconsistent sizing. I have numerous colors and they range anywhere from a M to an XL so when they are on sale, buy multiple sizes so you can have what size you need before the sale ends and return the rest.

Love the fit and quality of the shorts, does run a touch big, but I don't like tight shorts so not a problem for me. I ordered my normal size small. My issue with them (removing one star) is the color. I purchased several sky colored tops to try and create a monochrome set. The color shown in the pictures appears to match exactly. What I received was much darker and not at all a match to the tops purchased for this reason. I would describe the color in person as "chambray". They are still a versatile color that will go with a lot of my wardrobe, and I will keep them for this reason. But it is frustrating when the item received does not match the online images - so buyers of the "sky" color beware! Again, fit and quality is great as always with this brand. Highly recommend re-shooting the images of this color and/or renaming it altogether as to alleviate future frustration. Wish I had seen the other review stating this prior to my purchase!

Loved these shorts initially. Unfortunately, after minimal wear (only a handful of times over the past year) and careful washing on delicate + hang drying, a large hole developed along the front seam. Disappointing quality & durability for the price point and from Athleta.

I am so disappointed! I bought several pairs last summer in size M, and just ordered the new stripe in size M, and they are at least an inch larger through the waist, if not more! They bag on my behind, while last year's mediums fit perfectly! I went to exchange them for size S, and all sizes are sold out! I put a Small in the bag, and suddenly it was not available. Not fair, Athleta! Stay consistent in sizing, so customers can rely on you!

Loved the shorts and pants, but "Sky" is darker than it appears in photos, and doesn't match other "Sky" colored clothing on the site.

Zippered pockets, perfect length inseam and washes up well. Can easily be dressed up or down. I purchased in three colors. Great summer staple! I'm a size 23 or 24 in denim, and XXS fits loose but feels and looks "breezy", just as linen should!

Purchased several colors. The Breaker came with a hole in the front leg. It and was sold out in XS so couldn't exchange. I counted on it for a vacation trip. Runs at least one size bigger

Love the color (Sky), fabric and length of these shorts (4" inseams are usually too wide for me) but the rise is way to high compared to my other mid rise Athleta bottoms from past years. Please consider many of us prefer low to mid rise bottoms and high rise are too uncomfortable and unflattering.

I LOVE these shorts. Comfy, cool, and easy to style for Summer. My only regret is not buying more colors on sale

I am 55 yrs old and I prefer a relaxed fit in the waist and a slim fit in the hips. I am between a small and a medium and the small size fits perfectly and comfortably. Sometimes a medium fit looks frumpy in the hips area. I love the cut at Athleta and bought the white and natural color! Can't wait to wear them this Summer!
