I bought this backpack specifically for travel by planes and trains, and I was looking for a light weight bag that could hold a lot of stuff, big but not too big for my petite frame. Check, and check! The water repellant material was easy to clean, shoulder straps that allowed me to carry a heavy pa...ck through airports, train stations and lots of city hikes quite comfortably. What I loved most was the ability to organize all my stuff using my own little pouches that were easy to arrange, identify and retrieve. The only con is it does not have a sleeve to attach to a rolling suitcase.

I purchased this backpack several months ago (it's not even a year old) and it already looks and feels incredibly worn out. I'm not doing anything crazy. I just travel with it to and from work every day and never overstuff it or throw it around. In the front inside pocket the small key chain bung...ee contraption broke almost immediately. The straps will not stay tight even with minimal things in the backpack. It became discolored within about 3 weeks. One of the zipper tabs fell off a few weeks ago (again, I'm gentle with this bag). This bag was absolutely not worth what I paid for it. I will say that it does semi-ok in light rain, but that's about it. The size is also decent and I like the various pockets throughout. It just wasn't built well :(

Pros: insulation for laptop/tablets, zipper mesh for any items readily visible to grab, inside water bottle holder in case you need to protect it from falling out, 2 small pockets inside small zipper compartments, 2 zipper pulleys for easy opening, and padded shoulder straps. Decent size to add a lunch bag n snacks for work commute or holiday day bag. Cons: Within 8 months, on the 2nd usage the key holder mechanism and 1 of the zipper pulley came off. I tried to hook it back into the slot but it kept coming off that I finally remove the pulley. Really want to give it 5 stars but have to say QA missed testing on the zipper pulley.

Nice backpack to be used for day trips. Only thing to make this better would be to add a strap to place securely on a wheeled suitcase for travel.

I love this backpack, comfortable straps and attractive. I bought two one in blue and one in black. The backpack is very sturdy as I lugged my laptop and electronic devices across the country. I love the inside pockets, the outer pocket has small pockets. The blue bag is the one that I use daily for my work though it gets easily stained so going forward, I'll stick with dark color or black. It's a great backpack,

This bag was the perfect buy. I can easily fit my laptop, work files, and purse in here. The slot for the water bottle was functional for carrying my bottle. Similar to others, I didn't place it in the bag full of water - I was too afraid of it spilling. The straps felt great even after a 20 min walk with it.

This was definitely not worth the money. Letters fell off within 2 months of using and zippers broke before end of the school year. Material ripped easily. Very disappointed as this is not what I expected from Athleta.
