They are a nice cut and the fabric is quality. I'm 5ft 3 and the length is actually regular length for me, so they are not really ankle for shorter people. I have not worn them yet, but they are a staple for my Europe trip.

I'm normally an XL, but had to order XXL because I have a butt. I chose these because of the pockets and was surprised to find that the back pockets were sewn shut! I had to rip the seam to get them open. So bizarre. Since I'm only 5'4" they are long enough to be considered regular length, not ankle length. I like it better that way though! #sweepstakes

These are loose pants but not overwhelmingly so like the wide legs. I ordered the "natural" oatmeal color because who wants black in summer? Because the waistband is wide, thick, and heavy, these pants are not good for travel for those of us who use only a carry-on and wash clothes in a hotel sink. (I don't trust hotel laundries for anything that might shrink in high heat.) Even in a hot, dry climate, the waist wouldn't dry quickly enough. But if you're not a clean freak, no problem.

I am 5'6 160 lbs, with a wider waist but slimmer legs, ordered size large. Really wanted to like them but the fit was really awkward for me and they looked a lot baggier on my legs than I was expecting. I'm sure they would look great on people with thicker legs, and as linen is they are very comfortable. They also did not look very cropped on me.
