The dress is super cute. The fabric is thin and breathable, perfect for summer. As for the length, I'm 5'4 and I ordered regular because I saw other reviews saying the dress is short. I think the length is normal for a tennis dress. For 5'4, I could go either way. The regular length is good for me, ...not awkwardly long on me but I could order petite as well. Most importantly, I LOVE the fact that the dress doesn't have a built in bra or shorts!! Other people complain about that but that's a key factor I bought this dress. I prefer to wear my own sports bra under the dress. That way, on a day I wear this dress to exercise, I could wear a heavy duty sports bra while on the day I wear the dress just to walk around in, I could go for a lighter support option. And sometimes a built in bra doesn't fit well. Best of all, no built in shorts! I order matching shorts to wear with the dress and I like it because it makes it easy to go to the restroom!
The dress was rather thin, and when it arrived at my house and I tried it on, I was disappointed it didn't come with undershorts for tennis. I did, however, get some black Nike pros for under the dress (black Incase of stains, dirt, etc.) and if you wear a white bra with it, it can work as a nice te...nnis dress. I didn't really like how thin it was but if you have bought this dress for tennis use, you can make it a nice tennis dress with some undershorts. Hope this was helpful!

This is really cute, but you do need to wear your own shorts underneath. It's a dress, no shorts included. But I like that because I can choose how long of a short I want to wear.

One thing that I did not realize is that this is just a shell of the dress. You will need a sports bra and boy shorts to go underneath. It's super cute though. Just haven't worn it yet due to trying to figure out what to wear under it.

If you are super thin, this dress would be cute on you. Any curves are squished and hugged in an unflattering way because the material is so thin. Too bad as the style is very cute.

I completely missed that this dress did not come with built in shorts. It is extremely unwearable, and very shear. Seems like any shorts I would wear under it would be very visible. Disappointed in Athleta for this one.

Love how thin this dress is. Florida heat and this is lightweight for outdoor play. It drys quickly. I have in 2 colors. The white is slightly see through. There is no inner lining so no bra or bottoms built in. However that is the reason why i love it! I can slide it over any shorts and bra. It's not super tight on the waist and the pleats in the back are super cute with a more sleek look in the front. I'm usually and size 4, 26-27" waist 5'2" and this dress is the perfect length!
