Lovely but oversized

Athleta fabric quality, construction and style are (almost) always stellar. And so it goes for this pant. But this pant is oversized. I have to reeeeeeally cinch in the waist for them to fit. I am consistently large in Athleta but would have ordered a medium if I'd known the sizing issue.

I am in between a L and an XL…my waist is not as nipped as it used to be sadly! I tried multiple styles across Gap, BR and ON and the L was always just that bit too tight and the XL was gigantic - something definitely wrong with their grade. I saw these in the sale and thought I would give the XL a try - they are perfect, extremely comfortable, flattering and on trend. I have ordered all of the other colors now! Thank you Athleta!
