Not mid-rise and just not for me fit-wise

Your mileage may vary, but as a short-torsoed person who always seeks out mid-rise options, I was disappointed in the fit. I found these actually had a higher rise and more fabric in the crotch area than some Athleta pants that are labeled 'high-rise'. I'm not automatically opposed to dropped-crotch...

Good quality, weird fit

Love the wide leg, the wide waistband, the thick fabric, and the zippered pockets. I am 5'7" with narrow hips, generally a size 6 in most brands, and sized down to a S in these. The waistband sits at my natural waist, and it's comfy, but the rise is very unflattering and makes these impossible to style. Rolling over the waistband doesn't work, and wearing the pants lower makes for a weird drop crotch look. Going to return these.

These are industrial strength track pants. The material is very thick and heavy, and being all polyester I felt they were uncomfortable. Also they are ginormous. I am 5'10 and normally wear a size 10. A small probably wouldn't have been small enough for me.
