I purchased both these and the MVP pant because I wasn't sure which pair I wanted. These are much more casual and better quality in my opinion. They remind me of the original adidas tear away pants I had in h.s. Similar weighty material and sporty feel. I like that they're high waisted and the petite is a good length for me (5'3). The side pockets have zippers. These are comfy and run generous in size as most Athleta items do. I usually wear a 0 in Athleta pants/skirts and the xs fits fine. Waist is slightly loose and overall looser fit which makes them comfy. These are definitely casual or gym wear and I wouldn't be able to wear them to work. In comparison MVP pants can be dressed up but are lower quality.

I'm 5'2 and the petite is a perfect length. They are oversized like the reviews say. I typically am a medium so I got the small- it's a nice fit - loose like the style should be but not oversized.

These athleisure pants fit me perfectly, very comfortable and stylish, the perfect shade of blue. I can't wait to pair these with a boxy or fitted white tee, and have several white and blue jackets that will pop with them. Life is too short to always wear boring clothes, these pants are fun!

Cute and quality made. Fabric has substantial feel, a nice drape, and side zip pockets that don't add any extra bulk. Legs are wide but not too wide. I agree with another reviewer that they are not exactly mid rise, the waist sits right at my belly button and I got the petite and am just over 5'5", but they are the perfect length. Unlike other reviewers I got my usual size M and they fit, I could not have sized down (I weigh 156). Would definitely recommend! #sweepstakes

Great fit and perfect for the cooler weather coming!

I tried on in store and all regular sizes were way too long. I'm 5'3". The sales rep agreed my size would be a xxs petite. So I've ordered several online and received. The xxs petite do fit perfectly but do wish they were just a tad more roomy. I received my xs petite pair which are just a tad too roomy but perfect length. So seems Athleta missed a bit on the sizing with these. But overall I can wear either the xxs petite or xs petite just fine. For reference im 5'3" 122 pds, 32-25-37.5

As someone with a smaller waist compared to my thighs and butt, finding pants that fit well is always a challenge. I ordered these in both a petite medium and petite large. The large ended up fitting the way I'm used to, so I'd say they run true to size for my body type. That said, I can see how they might feel a little loose on someone who doesn't carry their weight where I do. For now, I only have the navy pair, but I'm definitely tempted to grab a few other colors!
