I have a bunch of rain jackets that were functional but were a "grit your teeth and put it on" experience. Took a chance on this Utility Rain Jacket and Athleta didn't let me down. Imagine having a rain jacket that actually flatters??? Roomy cut with interior waist drawstrings (gives you back a ...lost waist), and made with a great material that feels like fabric, not plastic sheeting! Long enough for leggings, but no "frump factor". Hood provides coverage while not blocking vision. Ample room to layer underneath. It's been decades since I was a 20-something that could wear a paper bag and look good, but I exercise and still enjoy a walk in the rain and I want to look good doing so. Keep up the good work, Athleta, but if I could make a request for us gals who prefer coverage in the FRONT as well as the back, offer more items (Tees, tops, jackets) in a longer length all over, not just CYA. When you occasionally do, they sell out in a New York minute in the larger sizes. Thanks!
Overall I like the look and fit of the jacket. I wore this twice in very rainy weather and the water has soaked through the cuffs and arms.

the black zipper was too high contrast - it ruined the look for me. Also the sleeves and the entire jacket were too short, I'm 5'8" so maybe I needed the tall, but It's not cute enough to get a larger size. Returned

I haven't tested it out in the rain yet. It's nice looking and I think I will get a lot of daily use out of it in cooler weather as well as rain. It's fits well in my normal size of small. There's plenty of room to wear layers under it. I like that the cuffs can be made smaller.

Wonderful rain jacket with lots of pockets and a nice adjustable hood. It rained on the day I got it and got to test it in lighter rain and it did well. I ordered two sizes … my regular Petite S as well as a Petite XS. Both worked but the S was more oversized than I need. The XS has plenty of room to layer even after cinching the waist. Though it has cargo pockets with side and top entry … I think it would be perfect with an inside zip pocket! #sweepstakes
