I have a bunch of rain jackets that were functional but were a "grit your teeth and put it on" experience. Took a chance on this Utility Rain Jacket and Athleta didn't let me down. Imagine having a rain jacket that actually flatters??? Roomy cut with interior waist drawstrings (gives you back a ...lost waist), and made with a great material that feels like fabric, not plastic sheeting! Long enough for leggings, but no "frump factor". Hood provides coverage while not blocking vision. Ample room to layer underneath. It's been decades since I was a 20-something that could wear a paper bag and look good, but I exercise and still enjoy a walk in the rain and I want to look good doing so. Keep up the good work, Athleta, but if I could make a request for us gals who prefer coverage in the FRONT as well as the back, offer more items (Tees, tops, jackets) in a longer length all over, not just CYA. When you occasionally do, they sell out in a New York minute in the larger sizes. Thanks!
Overall I like the look and fit of the jacket. I wore this twice in very rainy weather and the water has soaked through the cuffs and arms.

Comfortable, roomy enough to layer under. Can wear straight or cinch waist. Hood fits and covers well, wrists that can be tightened. The length is ideal - just long enough. Bought for wind and rain for international travel. I'm 5'3, 144 lbs and it fits well in a medium.

Runs a little big so size down one size. It is comfortable fabric that doesn't make noise when you move around. I stayed very dry in the rain. It also has great pockets. This is also a great jacket to wear when it's windy. The wind does not go through it. It is a quality made coat with quality fabric.

Great color! I'm 5'5 and I actually ordered this in a tall so it would cover my backside and it fits perfectly. Will be my go to jacket in the fall!

I like the jacket. It seems to be waterproof but haven't tried it in a downpour. I really didn't need another jacket but I like the style. The sleeve/cuff isn't the best though.

This is the perfect rain jacket! I was torn between ordering the tall medium or the regular large - I am 5' 9" and normally weigh about 160 lb but I am currently two weeks post partum so a tad heavier at the moment (~175 lb). I ended up going with the tall medium and it fits perfectly. It is long enough to cover my butt, which is important to me when I am wearing leggings, but the sleeves aren't too long which is sometimes the problem when I try ordering anything in tall. This fits great now and should continue to fit great as I go back to my pre-pregnancy size :) #sweepstakes

Love the look and fit. Usually wear L but M was perfect. Taking it to AK in July. Hopefully it truly is "Waterproof". I'll update after my trip.
