First, please keep making more Eden items, I LOVE the color! I'm keeping this jacket but the sizing isn't quite perfect for me. I have an athletic hourglass shape and didn't find the hips to be terribly accommodating - they are cut a bit narrow. It does have a double zipper which helps to loosen thi...ngs up, but when it's really raining outside, I want it zipped all the way. There was plenty of room up top, even with my broad shoulders and the sleeves are very long (I'm 5'9" and they mostly cover my palms). I'm going to try a size up, but am afraid the top part of the jacket will be huge.... here's to hoping!
Don't know how quality control didn't catch this. I like the coat so much that I might keep it and wear unzipped. Not ideal for a rain coat. To Athleta designers: no woman's body is made this way ! I wonder if they used dimensions for a man. Men are built this way. The way this coat fits … is... just how a man's shirt fits a woman. Big in arms/shoulders, and very tight across lower waist and hips. In my case, I cant zip this coat. And it's so big in the top that I can't get a bigger size. My proportions are extremely average as I could have been a 'fit model'. Beware- there is some kind of mistake here. Still a pretty coat - SUCH A SHAME !

Love the jacket. I ordered an M-Tall as I have long arms (I'm 5'8" - 140 lbs), but the sleeves are too long by about 2 inches. The lovely customer service representative couldn't tell me how much shorter the regular medium sleeve length is. She said typically the Tall sizes (which I usually buy-- this is the first time Tall was too long) are 1-2" longer. So, I may make the exchange. Or roll up the sleeves, which doesn't look bad at all. A small would have fit too, but the roominess is excellent for layering.

I'm normally a Small Tall in Athleta tops and jackets, but the Rainout Trench in ST was too billowy on my narrow frame (5'9" / 132 lbs). Tried the XS and the sleeves are still plenty long enough which is amazing. However, the waistline is a bit high because XS is Regular fit, not Tall. I'm keeping it anyway as it's a versatile, lightweight jacket that doesn't look or feel like a typical 'raincoat'. A couple minor improvements would be to make the waistline cinch-able only at the back and add a drawstring at the bottom hem as well.

I really wanted to love this raincoat. I was looking for a longer length, versatile raincoat, and I thought I found it in the Rainout Ridge Long Trench. Based on reviews, I ordered the PS, but when it arrived, it was very tight. I could zip it, but I would not be able to wear layers underneath. I returned it to my local store, and the very nice sales associate ordered a PM for me. When it arrived, it zipped very comfortably, but the sleeves were way too long for me. The PM went back as well.

I love the length of the raincoat! The snaps are a little awkward in placement (where I would snap if I wanted to just snap one is between two spots). But the zipper is doubled so you can unzip to just that spot if wanted. I ended up ordering a medium so I could wear sweaters under it, but I probably could've also gotten away with a small. 5'8", 140lbs. #sweepstakes
